Whitewater Creek Wild Gila Trout
Living in the desert, my dad and I always try to travel to nearby trout streams in our state. In this occasion, it was Whitewater Creek in the Gila National Forest. It is a thriving fishery for wild Gila Trout ( our state’s fish) and Rio Grande Cutthroats up in the mountains. It is wonderful to see such streams, and Being able to fish ‘em is even better. I always use a 9 foot 5, weight, but my dad decided to use a spinning set up with beaded streamers this time. Fish were small, but we still had much fun out there.
