Bampa is the one who instilled in me a love for the outdoors, and especially fly fishing. One day he took me out for “casting practice,” and I was ambushed by a 5.75 lbs northern pike – it was a monster of a fish, far beyond my wildest dreams at the time. To this day, I carry him with me every time I wet a line.
