Dad in his sailing canoe.
Like many dads, he was about making sure we had what we needed to live comfortably. As he reached that goal, focus changed to some fun, and dad loved boats and water. We had many a day on his various sailboats, dingys and canoes, all of which had a funny name. Most memorable was a work day putting tracks back on our John Deere crawler. As we lay there in the mud, a worm came to the surface, and he picked it up and said “you and me are brothers worm” , and put it out of the way. He was a good soul, and only took what he needed to make his way.
