This photo was taken September of 2021 on the Pere Marquette river during a salmon trip. Although this gorgeous trout was not the intended species of the day, my brother and I were able to bask in beauty of the fish and serenity of our father catching another fish. Although there is nothing special about this brown trout in itself, this has become my favorite picture of all three of us. This photo represents 30+ years of fatherhood, inspiration, mentorship and a special bond that all three of us have. As a father now I hope to instill and develop the love of the outdoors and fishing that our father cultivated and still shares with us today.
