I grew up with a single mom who did an amazing job. My grandparents were very active in my life and my grandpa assumed the role of a father. My grandparents had a lake home on Lake Lida in Minnesota, where I spent every summer and weekend with them. Most summers were spent on the lake with grandpa fishing for Walleyes and Northerns and then taking them home for grandma to fry up for dinner. Although this isn’t one singular most memorable adventure – it’s a lifetime of wonderful moments with grandpa that makes me miss him so much.
