Whether fresh water or salt water fishing , each occasion was memorable as our personal bonding time. Being near water relaxed my father and holding a fishing rod, whether or not he had a catch was a meditative experience. He was a very knowledgeable fisherman and I treasure his fresh water lures almost forty years after his death.
