My dad has always loved fishing. As he has gotten older however, it’s been more difficult for him to fish. A few years ago he took his love for fishing in a different direction and made his own cedar strip canoe to pass down to his kids. This photo is of the first and only time he has fished out of his canoe. He struggled to get in; but once seated he fished while I paddled him around the lake. He caught a few crappie, but was most proud that the boat he made. It will always remind me of this moment captured with him.
