Never to Old to Learn

After a battle with cancer my dad took up wood turning. When we were younger my Dad and I did all sorts of things together and had lots of adventures, but now I live abroad I don’t get to see him often. Over last summer I was able to return home and spend a month with him. In his weakened state our adventures were fairly tame but out of this came the most memorable time for me. He taught me to lathe and turn and we spent many happy days in the old garage together covered in sawdust. Our relationship has never been stronger.
