Leaving a Legacy!
This encompasses more than one memory. It represents how dad helped to instill the love of nature and the joy of living simply. Every summer, dad would pilot the Country Squire with six passengers, one dog, one rented cat, and an alumina-craft in tow. Off to Belabourer Island in the amazing 1000 Islands. There we got back to basic living in the camp and in tents. There were kerosene lanterns, a pump in the kitchen, and out-house in the woods. We fished, swam, brushed our teeth in the river, had hootenannys, and used our imagination. Thanks to Dad, the river water flows through my veins and the absolute love of nature has been passed down to yet another generation!
