I grew up in between two ponds and learned about fishing from friends. My Dad preferred model boats but still encouraged my interest in fishing by taking me to the Jones Beach Ocean Piers (Long Island, NY) so I could fish. I fished and he drank coffee and ate buttered rolls while watching me fish. This photo was taken some years after our fishing trips.
