Around the year 1976 my father took my brother and I to Claiborne Farm in Paris, Kentucky to meet the greatest race horse of all time…Triple Crown Winner Secretariat. Note Secretariat’s identifying two color left hoof. We got to take turns holding his reins and visiting with him. Was one of the best times and memories I have of my father. My father took us on vacations from Texas to New York. My father was a good hearted man who would give you his last shirt off his back. All who knew my father loved him. Sadly he passed away of cancer on May 10th of 2010. I miss him. I couldn’t have asked for a better father.
