January 16, 2016 we learned that we would be moving out of the woods and into a completely new world. From Asheville, NC, to Charleston, SC. This picture is one of my favorites as my dad is pointing to the mountains that we will forever call our home. At the peak of Pilot Mountain, we stood pointing at our hearts in the home of the Carolina valley. Finding out we were moving was hard but thanks to my dad, I never once worried about any troubles because if my dad knew it was best, then I knew it was best. And it was.
