Dad’s first Salmon
My dad worked really hard his whole life, often juggling 2-3 jobs to provide for our family of 6. And he rarely took time to relax or enjoy the outdoors. In fact, he never even learned to swim. So it took some convincing – when I asked if he’d ever want to go salmon fishing with me, out on a boat. Well after retirement, he finally agreed to join me on a great Salmom fishing day. And luck was on his side – as he not only caught the largest fish of the day, but after a 15 minute battle, the lure actually flew out of the fish’s mouth as he made his final lift – and our Guide lunged with his 8’ net and scooped up his free floating salmon. What a day. What a memory. What a dad.
