We walked on 3 feet of packed snow that was about 18 inches wide. Snow was so deep that we were only 3 inches below the top of the fence that protected us from the canyon drop. Snow was falling, the rapids were roaring, and huge snow cliffs and icicles hung in the canyon. Afterwards we enjoyed the Banff Hot Springs.
