When my son was three I took him to a fishing derby. He had never fished before so I wanted to make sure we caught a fish so that he had a memorable experience. After making sure I had all the gear on the planet to ensure his success…he caught a lunker on the first cast! His eye lit up like candles when he landed it and has been hooked on fishing ever since and I won’t need to buy any gear anytime soon!
