Opening bird day started with a drive with my Dad, ha a few things have changed…no longer riding in a ’78 Land Cruiser upgraded to a ’16 Sequoia…no longer playing a tape recording of Pink Floyd’s The Wall upgraded to plain ol’ conversation. Only sage grouse were seen in regard to grouse and their season is not open, we also saw a couple of elk where we haven’t seen them before so that was cool. Going on a drive looking for a bird is something my Dad has probably done every year on the opening day, I’ve missed a few of those but glad I could go this year.
