Learning to Dry Fly Fish

After 23 years of being my dad, he finally got a chance to teach me fly fishing. I never had the drive to fish until the spare outdoor time the pandemic provided. This trip on the Williams Fork, a tributary to the Colorado, was the first time I felt comfortable enough to catch a trout with a fly by myself. My dad was so excited to have this opportunity, and so proud to see how far I’d come in a matter of months. We have always been close, but fishing brought us that much closer. The rest of the photo speaks for itself.
