As a father I have had the joy of many outdoor adventures with my 9 children. My youngest son Junior was the only one that had not yet climbed a 14er. I promised him that this summer we would go to Colorado to climb. He chose Mt Elbert, the highest in Colorado. On 7 June we took it on and Junior clambered right up the challenge. The joy I felt to see him succeed and have such appreciation for the outdoors, made my day.
