Truly a once in a lifetime experience. It took 3 progressively smaller planes, the last being an 8 seater, and a custom high floating jet boat to get us to Illiamna River Lodge. Hosted by a family and some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. The two children were adorable. Fishing was insane and the brown bears were out and hungry. Dozens of mothers with their two babies. Crazy big males. Really felt at home, best fly trip of my life.
