Toby is my fly fishing mentor and is someone who got me back into fly fishing after years of moving off for conventional fishing. I owe him greatly for giving me the gentle push to get me back into our favorite sport. His biggest trout prior to us fishing together was 24″ redband after years of fishing our local river and we’ve been hitting it hard out of the boat and we landed this 26″ stud for him on his Helios2 5wt. He’s planning on getting it mounted. Toby is a great ambassador for Orvis as he is always repping your gear and has spent I would only guess tens of thousands on equipment for himself and his friends and family. He has brought so much to younger generations and been the most supportive mentor anyone could hope for.
