My Dad has always wanted to fly fish but he’s never really had the time to learn. A few weeks ago though he retired after 35 years working for the State Department. The very first thing our family did after he retired was head out on a fly fishing trip with Orvis. While we didn’t think it would necessarily be a favorite activity for the whole family, everyone truly had an amazing time. Naturally, my Dad presented us all with Orvis fly fishing gear as awards for our achievements at the end of the day, for “Most Fish Caught”, “First Fish Caught”, and “Best Attitude”. But for us, he deserves the award for “Greatest Father in the World” for supporting, loving, and pushing us every single day. We’ll be out on the river again soon, with Orvis of course.
