Fishing in Japan 1948-1950
This is my Dad in 1948-1950 during the occupation of Japan. He was with the 356th Hqs Intel Det/531st Mil Intel Plat. On his time off he used a home made “Tenkara” rod and fished for his supper. Way better than the military rations of the times He taught me and my two brothers the love of fishing (single rod, spinning or fly fishing) as soon as we could hold rods and we all have been doing so today. I taught my 3 sons’ fish and how to build their own fly rods. Three generations and more to follow.
