Growing up was hard for me. My parents divorced when I was really young and so I grew up in a split household. My mother got custody of my two sisters and my father got custody of me. I didn’t know what was going on of course but my dad tried to do everything he could throughout my upbringing to make me feel secure. He worked multiple jobs and long hours everyday. As I got older I remember I would get home from school and he would follow shortly after. He would fix something for us to eat then go take a nap and leave again a few hours later to start his second job. I didn’t think much of it back then but now I am thankful and feel honored to call him my dad. He is the best man I know and look up to him everyday.
